About Us

Sopanam is a Navi Mumbai-based voluntary organisation that aims to promote Indian classical music and dance. We host music concerts and dance performances at regular intervals and also provide a platform for budding artists to showcase their talent.

Objectives

Currently Sopanam is focused on organising music concerts and dance performances. The scope will be expanded later to include hosting workshops and competitions, as well as debates and symposia. We would also felicitate leading personalities for their contributions to the cause of music. The idea is to enrich the lives of people using music as a platform.

Inception

Sopanam was inaugurated on April 13, 2014 in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, by leading playback singer ‘Pranavam’ Sankaran Nampoothiri in the presence of several dignitaries. Mr Nampoothiri also gave the inaugural concert, which was attended by over 400 music lovers.

Entitlements of the Title Sponsor/Deliverables

  1. The September 19 event will be named after the Title Sponsor. There will be one main banner on the stage saying this, while two side banners will also be displayed on the stage. Since we plan to record the whole event and distribute it among our 250 well-wishers, the brand recall will be high.

  3. The sponsor's name/brand identity will be prominently displayed on our own website and Facebook page. These two social media platforms will carry pictures of the September 19 concert, which will give perpetual visibility to the sponsor's brand.
  4. One representative of the presenting sponsor will be given a place on the dais, and he will be part of our dignitaries during the lighting of the lamp and distributing the mementos/cash awards to students.

Testimonials

"It gives me immense pleasure that my students and a group of well-wishers have come together for the cause of music. Navi Mumbai never had a platform dedicated to promote Carnatic music (suddha sangeetham). I am sure this initiative will go a long way in providing a permanent stage for both established and budding artists. I wish them all the best."

Guru MS Parameswaran

"The concert was very nice and well organized, and we are expecting more and more programs ahead."
